Dear Aleks,

Hopefully you’ll enjoyed a well-deserved holiday.
Following-up on my email just before the summer break I wonder whether you would
have any time this week or next for a brief call to discuss the emerging Sustainable
Biomethane Alliance?

Kind regards,

Subject: Sustainable Biomethane Alliance

Dear Aleks,

You must be glad that the ‘Fit for 55’ package is out, great day yesterday!

A while back we discussed the necessary scale-up of biomethane to reach climate
targets while strengthening rural economies.
The Gas for Climate group of EU gas TSOs and biomethane associations finds that
sustainable biomethane ‘punches below its weight’ relative to its potential and societal
benefits. We therefore gathered a group of large European companies with ambitions
to scale up the consumption, production and transport of biomethane, including

The emerging Alliance aims to mobilise
the supply chain to help scaling up biomethane, and to engage in a dialogue with policy
makers.
