Dear Ms. Preising,
I am writing to request a meeting for Equinor’s
, on 21 October 2021 sometime between 11h30 and
14h30, to discuss the implementation of the EU offshore energy strategy and
reform of the renewables energy directive, Equinor’s contribution to a
sustainable blue economy as well as hybrid offshore wind opportunities in
Europe.
In addition to developing the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank
(UK), and the world’s largest floating wind farm (NO), Equinor is working to
strengthen our position in Europe with projects like the three Bałtyk offshore
wind developments in Poland and the Arkona offshore wind in Germany.
Equinor pursues a very ambitious renewables strategy, with the aim to become a
global major we will work to have 12-16 GW of capacity in place in 2030. This is
equivalent to creating an Ørsted, today’s biggest developer of offshore wind
farms in the world, and a Scatec, the Nordic region’s leading solar company with
a global reach. To deliver on this strategy we believe in strong cooperation with
partners and governments. Our journey to develop as a broad energy company is
founded on a strong commitment to sustainability and we are further developing
our management approach to biodiversity.
