Dear Frontex Access to Documents Team,
Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, I request access to documents (including reports, contracts, correspondence, and meeting notes) held by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) for the period 1st January 2022 to the present, concerning:
1) The procurement, deployment, or operation of surveillance, monitoring, or data-analysis systems used for migration control or border management, including aerial or maritime platforms, drones, or analytics software.
2) Any contracts, tenders, or partnerships with private contractors, technology firms, or research institutions supplying such systems.
3) Any cooperation, communication, or coordination between Frontex and UK authorities (including the Home Office, Border Force, or National Crime Agency) on border monitoring, information-sharing, or technology interoperability following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.
Please include:
– internal situation reports or summaries discussing these activities;
– relevant correspondence or meeting notes between Frontex and UK or EU counterparts;
– any procurement summaries or project descriptions identifying contractors.
I am not requesting access to operational details, personal data, or classified security information.
To assist the search, I am requesting only final or summary documents already held in digital format.
Yours faithfully,
Lewis Brackpool
