information security in the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union
- Outline of the governance structure as contained in the proposal
1. As a follow-up to the meeting of the Council Security Committee on 7-8 December 2022, delegations
will find attached in Annex I a schematic representation of the proposed future governance structure,
produced by the Council Secretariat, as contained in the Commission's draft proposal for a Regulation of
the European Parliament and of the Council on information security in the institutions, bodies, offices and
agencies of the Union (7670/22).
2. Among the open questions which could be addressed at the next meeting of the Council Security
Committee is the representation of EUIBAs, secretariat and chairmanship of the proposed IICG,
subgroups and Information Security Committee. It would also be worth discussing the respective roles of
the proposed ISC and the other existing security committees.
3. This item will be examined and discussed at the next meeting of the Council Security Committee on
1-2 February 2023.
