All communication on EU-UAE trade deal
Dear Trade,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting all documents and correspondence which contain the following information:
1) All incoming or outgoing correspondence (including e-mails and sms-messages) sent or received by DG TRADE officials (including the Commissioner and Cabinet members), mentioning or concerning a trade agreement between the EU and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), between 1st December 2024 and 8th June 2025.
2) A list of meetings, including detailed minutes and any other reports of such meetings, including, but not necessarily limited to, minutes, verbatim reports or transcripts, attented by DG TRADE officials (including the Commissioner and Cabinet members), in which a trade agreement between the EU and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was mentioned or discussed, between 1st December 2024 and 8th June 2025.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
