Dear Mr Kattrup,
Further to your application submitted under [1]Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001 requesting access to all the documentation concerning meetings
between different Members of the Parliament and [2]an interest
representative, relating to different pieces of legislation, please be
kindly informed that Parliament does not hold any documents related to
meetings between Members and third parties, if the meeting was not part of
a parliamentary procedure and was in any case held without the involvement
of Parliament’s administration. In addition, please also note that, in
such cases, even if a meeting was held on the Parliament’s premises and/or
with using the Parliament’s technical facilities, Parliament would
normally not hold any documents. Moreover, Parliament’s administration has
no access to Members’ private offices (see also [3]Rule 122(2) of
Parliament’s Rule of Procedure) either.
With respect to meetings between MEPs and interest representatives,
Parliament informs you that it only holds the meeting declarations of its
Members they have published on their individual official websites (please
see under Past meetings tab, as an example [4]here).
Should you wish to have access to minutes or any other documents for such
meetings that are usually held by Members, you might consider contacting
the Member’s office accordingly. Please find the relevant contact
information on Parliament’s website (please see for example at the bottom
of the page [5]here).
On this basis Parliament considers your request handled and the file
closed.
Please do not hesitate to [6]submit a new request should you identify
specific Parliament documents for which you would like to request public
access.
Kind regards,
