ACEA (the European Automobile
Manufacturers' Association) about the upcoming proposal on new
CO2 emission standards for heavy duty vehicles?
Ideally this meeting should take place before by the end of April
the latest, before the adoption of the proposal by the College.

Dear Commissioner Moedas,
The College of the European Commission is expected to adopt a
legislative proposal on new CO2 emission standards for heavy-
duty vehicles at the beginning of May 2018, in the framework of
its third mobility package.
This topic tops the agenda of the 6 European heavy-duty vehicle
manufacturers represented by the European Automobile
Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). It is indeed likely to have a
significant impact on their whole product development and
business activities.
Therefore, I would very much like to have the opportunity to
present the views of ACEA on this topic, ideally before the
adoption of the proposal by the College.
I am very much looking forward to a possible meeting with you at
your earliest convenience or, in the event where such a meeting
would not be possible, with the relevant person in your cabinet.
