Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Any documents relating to the request for Flash Eurobarometer 532'.

I requested documentation pertaining to the decision to order, the drafting of questions included in, the review of the questions included in and the cost of Flash Eurobarometer 532 on 29 October 2023. DG Home acknowledged by request on 6 November 2023. On 24 November 2023 DG Home notified me that it would not be able to complete the request within the 15 day deadline, and granted itself a supplementary 15 days for completion of the request. These 15 days have now passed but the request is still not completed. As such, DG Home is currently falling foul of the Code of Good Administrative Behaviour applicable to all Commission employees and regulation 1049/2001. I would like to know at the soonest opportunity how DG Home expects to rectify this situation?

A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/any_...

Yours faithfully,

Amelia Andersdotter

Dear Migration and Home Affairs,

I have received 7 PDF:s that all generate a rendition error. If I try opening the documents in a browser, it gives me the error message "Can't read PDF document." This error is consistent over two browsers (Firefox, Chromium) and several services (Google Docs, Lupin PDF). AsktheEU.org's engine can also not convert the PDFs to HTML.

If I try downloading one of the documents using a non-browser tool (in my case wget) I get only the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<response xmlns="http://ec.europa.eu/sg/hrs/dts/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001
XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://ec.europa.eu/sg/hrs/dts/1.0 https:/
webgate.ec.testa.eu/hrs-dts/DataTransferService?XSD"><success>false</success><error>No
available rendition for item '090166e505d32b5a'</error></response>

Would you be able to send me PDF versions of your documents that are generated in a way that they can be opened? If this is not possible, would you be able to make screenshots of the documents and send them as attached image files (for instance PNG or JPEG)?

Thanks in advance,

Yours faithfully,

Amelia Andersdotter
