Application of Rio Tinto (local entity Rio Sava d.o.o.) under Art. 7 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1252
Dear Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001 as well as Art. 3 of Regulation 1367/2006, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- the application submitted by Rio Tinto pursuant to Art. 7 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1252 upon which the EU Commission has granted the strategic status to the Jadar raw materials project in Commission Decision (EU) 2025/1174 (Annex 2 point (5)).
In responding to the request, I'm asking you to consider that the information submitted by the applicant with regard to the sustainability of the project can not be viewed as commercially sensitive information, as it will necessarily be disclosed during the EIA procedure in the Republic of Serbia.

Dear Sir/Madam,
