AresLook email policy
Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting all documents concerning a European Commission corporate decision to automatically delete emails sent and received from Commission email addresses after 6 months. This is meant to include the Commission decision document which outlines the policy, as well as any explanatory documents or internal discussions of said policy.
For context: The existence of said policy is outlined in a presentation called "Document management for senior managers" (Ref· Ares(2015)1764484 - 27/04/2015), which I obtained through a previous access to documents request. It mentions that the automated deletion system for emails was activated on July 1, 2015.
Yours faithfully,
Alexander Fanta
