Clarification regarding "The number of proposals to each topic in EDIDP 2019-2020"
Dear Defence Industry and Space,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
This question is a follow-up to the EC’s reply to my earlier FoI request https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/the_...
In your reply, you indicate 38 proposals to EDIDP 2019. In the EC's EDIDP 2019 brochure https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscor... it states that there were 40 proposals. At first, I assumed the earlier figure of 40 was a mistake, that your new number of 38 proposals was correct. Upon more careful examination of your reply, I see it omits the topic EDIDP-ACC-AEAC-2019. Yet the project REACT https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscor... was funded under this topic. So, the topic had at least one proposal. Please confirm the total number of proposals in EDIDP 2019, as well as the total number of proposals to EDIDP-ACC-CJTP and EDIDP-ACC-AEAC-2019.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Murphy

Dear Defence Industry and Space,
By law, DG DEFIS should normally have responded promptly to my request by November 28, 2023. It's disappointing that it takes so long because all I'm seeking is a simple clarification of your earlier response that appears to contain an error. Please reply as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Murphy

The EC answered my question in another location https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/foll...
Its answer was "The total number of proposals in EDIDP 2019, as well as the total number of proposals to EDIDP-ACC-CJTP and EDIDP-ACC-AEAC-2019: DG DEFIS received 40 proposals for EDIDP 2019 and 16 of them were funded. EDIDP-ACC received 4 proposals. EDIDP-ACC received 4 proposals. EDIDP-ACC-CJTP received 3 proposals. EDIDP-ACC-AEAC only 1 proposal." The EC's previous answer had contained the following errors (a) The number of proposals to EDIDP 2019 was given as 38 instead of 40 and (b) It stated 2 proposals to EDIDP-ACC-CJTP instead of 3 and (c) It did not account for the single proposal submitted to EDIDP-ACC-AEAC. I'm glad to have my answers and appreciate the Ask the EU website that facilitates the questions.
