Commission Migrant Detention Report
Dear Secretariat General (SG),
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
On 9th January 2014, I made a request to the European Parliament (http://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/migra...) asking for:
'The report submitted to the Parliament by the European Commission regarding the detention of migrants within the European Union. Pursuant to Article 19 of Directive 2008/115/EC this report should have been sent to the Parliament by 24th December 2013.'
The European Parliament informed me that they did not receive the report. I therefore, request a copy of the report from you. Preferably in a machine readable format that is searchable.

The report on the implementation of the Return Directive referred to in
your mail will be adopted by the Commission with some weeks delay.
According to current planning we foresee its adoption – as a part of the
upcoming "Communication on EU Return Policy" - in March 2014.
