Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the related to lobbying activities concerning GLP-1 medications:
1. Correspondence:
Emails, letters, or other forms of communication exchanged between representatives of large processed food manufacturers (such as Nestlé, Unilever, and other similar companies), their affiliates, or their lobby organizations (e.g., the European Food Information Council (EUFIC) or similar entities) and officials of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), or any other EU bodies, regarding GLP-1 medications. This includes discussions on the approval, regulation, or market authorization of GLP-1 drugs (including medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Saxenda, and others) and any potential impact or influence these companies may have had on the regulatory processes.
2. Meetings:
Minutes, notes, or summaries of meetings held with representatives of these processed food companies or their lobby organizations, discussing topics such as:
The regulatory process of GLP-1 medications.
The potential market impact of these medications, particularly in the context of weight management and obesity.
Strategies or actions related to influencing EU regulatory decisions on GLP-1 medications, especially those used for weight loss (e.g., Wegovy).
Any discussions on the integration of GLP-1 medications with processed food products or health claims.
3. Documents:
Internal memos, analyses, or reports that refer to lobbying efforts—whether direct or via intermediary organizations—by processed food companies to influence the regulatory assessment of GLP-1 medications. This includes documents discussing the companies' positions on the regulation of GLP-1 drugs, any attempts to delay, alter, or accelerate regulatory decisions, and any concerns raised about how such decisions might affect food consumption behaviors or the broader food and pharmaceutical markets.
4. Consultations and Influence on Regulation:
Any records of consultations between EU bodies and representatives from the processed food industry regarding the regulation of GLP-1 medications, especially regarding their use in weight management. This includes any feedback provided by these companies on proposed regulations, public health guidelines, or any measures that could influence how GLP-1 medications are marketed or perceived by the public, particularly in relation to processed food products.
The timeframe for this request is from 2020 to the present, considering that GLP-1 medications used for weight management and diabetes have gained popularity since that time.
Purpose of the Inquiry:
My inquiry aims to understand the influence and lobbying activities by large processed food companies concerning the regulation and approval of GLP-1 medications. Specifically, I seek to examine whether these companies have sought to influence the regulatory processes surrounding GLP-1 drugs, including how these efforts might affect public health policies, consumer protection, and the broader pharmaceutical and food industries.
If any part of the requested documentation is subject to exemptions under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, I kindly ask that you provide detailed reasoning for the redactions or withholdings. I also request that you consider partial disclosure where possible, in the interest of transparency.

Status code 554 5.4.14
Typically this error occurs because the recipient email address is
incorrect or doesn't exist at the destination domain. This can usually be
fixed by the sender. However, sometimes the issue needs to be fixed by the
recipient or the recipient's email admin. If the steps in the How to Fix
It section above don't fix the problem, and you're the email admin for the
recipient, try one or more of the following:
The email address exists and is correct - Confirm that the recipient
address exists, is correct, and is accepting messages.
Synchronize your directories - If you have a hybrid environment and are
using directory synchronization make sure the recipient's email address is
synced correctly in both Office 365 and in your on-premises directory.
Errant forwarding rule - Check for forwarding rules that aren't behaving
as expected. A forwarding rule can be configured by an admin via mail flow
rules or mailbox forwarding address settings, or by the recipient via the
Inbox Rules feature.
Mail flow settings and MX records are not correct - Misconfigured mail
flow settings or MX records can cause this error. Check your Office 365
mail flow settings to make sure your domain and any mail flow connectors
are set up correctly. Also, work with your domain registrar to make sure
the MX records for your domain are configured correctly.
Mail loop detected - This error also indicates that the receiving
organization's email settings are misconfigured, creating a mail loop when
a message is sent to an address that isn't found in their directory. This
usually won't disrupt mail flow for recipients that actually exist, but
the recipient's email admin should fix the misconfiguration to reduce the
chance of any other mail flow issues. A common cause for this loop is that
the recipient's domain is configured as "Internal Relay" when it should be
"Authoritative." Another common cause for the loop is that both the sender
and recipient are part of the same organization, but the sender's mailbox
is hosted by Office 365, while the recipient's mailbox is hosted
on-premises, and an outbound connector from Office 365 to the on-premises
email servers is missing or misconfigured. To fix this, the recipient's
email admin should create a correctly configured outbound connector in
Office 365 to route the message to the on-premises mailbox.
