Communication on NGTs during your Presidency
Dear Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1) All documents, all incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications (including but not limited to emails and text messages and accompanying files or documents ) on the topics of New Genomic Techniques (NGTs, or other denominations i.a: (agricultural) biotechnology, precision breeding, new breeding techniques, etc.) between employees or representatives of the Belgian Permanent Representation to the EU and employees or representatives of the Polish Permanent Representation to the EU.
2) All documents, all incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications (including but not limited to emails and text messages and accompanying files or documents ) on the topics of NGTs (or other denominations as detailed above) between employees or representatives of the Belgian Permanent Representation to the EU and employees or representatives of the U.S. Mission to the EU. This should include, but not be limited to, meetings with any employees, officials or representatives of the U.S.'s Mission's Office of the United States Trade Representative, the Foreign Agricultural Service and the Foreign Commercial Service.
Date period concerned: From January 1 2024 to June 30 2024.
If some documents are partially exempted from publication, I wish to have access to a partial release of said documents. Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation.
