Thank you for your e-mails of 17 December 2021. We hereby acknowledge
receipt of your applications for access to documents, which were
registered on 22 December 2021 under reference numbers GESTDEM 2021/8271
and 2021/8272 as follows:

The concluded text of the EU-Mexico Global Agreement. In particular the
content on investment protection and investment dispute settlement, on
energy and raw materials, on technical barriers to trade and on Trade and
Sustainable Development.

 

2021/8272

[A] a list of all lobby meetings held between officials/representatives of
DG Trade and energy companies since 1 May 2016, in which the future
EU-Mexico Global Agreement has been discussed. The list should include:
date, the name of the company attending, and the purpose of the meeting if
possible.

 

 

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to
European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, your application
will be handled within 15 working days. The time-limit will expire on 21
January 2022. Please note that this calculation of the 15 working days
takes into account the recess of the European Commission between 23
December 2021 and  2 January 2022 (included). In case this time-limit
needs to be extended, you will be informed in due course.

Dear Madam,

We refer to your e-mails of  17 December 2021 in which you make requests
for access to documents, registered on 22 December 2021 under the above
mentioned reference numbers.

Your applications are currently being handled. However, we will not be in
a position to complete the handling of your applications within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 21 January 2022.

An extended time limit is needed as the applications concern documents
held by different Services, which must be consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 11 February
2022.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
