Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, I am writing to request access to documents held by the Commission regarding the following procurement procedure:

Tender Title: Support towards implementation of the EU Methane Regulation

Internal Reference: EC-ENER/2025/OP/0049

Publication Reference: 415330-2025 (and/or 331374-2025)

I specifically request the following documents:

- The Contract Award Decision (or the notification letter sent to the successful bidder).

- The Final Evaluation Report (or the portion thereof) showing the name of the winning contractor and the total contract value.

- The signed Contract (redacted for trade secrets where strictly necessary).

If the contract has not yet been awarded, the current status of the procedure and the expected date for the award notification.

I am requesting these documents in electronic format. Should your department choose to apply any redactions based on the exceptions in Article 4 of Regulation 1049/2001, I request that you provide a specific justification for each redaction and consider the overriding public interest in the transparent spending of EU funds.

We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 19/02/2026 under case number EASE 2026/1095.

We are currently working on your request. However, we have not yet been
able to gather all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of
your request. We will not be able to send you the reply within the
prescribed time limit expiring on 12/03/2026.

The application concerns documents held by different Services, which must
be consulted.

Therefore, in line with Article 7(3) of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001,
we need to extend this time limit by 15 additional working days. The new
time limit expires on 07/04/2026.
