Consultation Responses to draft Guidelines on ESG risks management

We're waiting for Tazu Walden to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear European Banking Authority,

Following the publication of the final report and under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

A full list of respondents to the EBA's consultation on Guidelines on the management of ESG risks which ran from January - April 2024. (https://www.eba.europa.eu/publications-a...)

If available, I would also like to see responses from the following companies and industry associations:

The European Banking Authority (EBA) strives to be as transparent and open as possible.

Regarding the entities listed in your request:

- AFME submitted a non-confidential response, which is displayed as response number 31 on the EBA webpage at the above link.
- Credit Agricole, BNP Paribas, and Societe Generale submitted confidential responses.
- The other institutions listed in your request have not submitted individual responses.

For the three confidential responses, since these fall under the category of third-party documents under Article 4(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, we consulted the originators to assess whether they maintain their initial request not to disclose their answers as declared at the time of submission.
BNP Paribas and Societe Generale have agreed to disclose their responses. Please find them attached in response to your request.

We were unable to obtain Credit Agricole's response concerning the confidentiality of the responses they provided for the consultation in time to reply to your request. Therefore, their responses cannot be disclosed for the time being as they were marked as non-disclosable at the time of submission.
