Correspondence between Audit Chamber V and Taxpayers Association of Europe
Dear European Court of Auditors,
Under the right of access to documents in the Aarhus Convention, this is an Environmental Information Request. I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Any correspondence - including but not limited to WhatsApp messages, texts, emails, email attachments, meeting invites, meeting agendas, meeting requests - between the Taxpayers Association of Europe and/or Michael Jäger/Jaeger with any members of the Audit Chamber V – Financing and administering the Union involved in the ECA 'Special Report 11/2025 - Transparency of EU funding granted to NGOs', since January 2025.
This is an Environmental Information Request because the debate about NGO funding has predominantly focused on environmental advocacy groups, and the Taxpayers Association of Europe filed criminal complaints against Frans Timmermans, who acted as Commissioner for Climate Action until 2023, and Virginius Sinkevicius, who was responsible for the environment and oceans work package until 2024, in July.
I am a citizen of Ireland and can provide documentary evidence on request.
I would be grateful if you could provide the documents in electronic format.
Yours faithfully,
Clare Carlile
