Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
With regards to the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 11th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 11), Paris 2015, I request any and all correspondence from 1st November 2014 between Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete (and Commissioner staff), and the following organisations: BusinessEurope, the Confederation of European Paper Industries (AKA CEPI), Electricity for Europe (AKA Eurelectric), The European Steel Association (AKA Eurofer), the European Association of Metals (AKA Eurometaux), the European Chemical Industry Council (AKA Cefic), FuelsEurope (formerly Europia) and the International Association of Oil and Gas Producer (AKA IOGP, formerly OGP).

Dear Mr. Fagan-Watson,
We refer to your emails dated 4^th February 2016, in which you initiated a
request to access documents held by the Commission, pursuant to Regulation
EC 1049/2001.
In your application, you had requested to be granted access to all the
correspondence since 1st November 2014, between Commissioner Miguel Arias
Cañete (and Commissioner his Cabinet) and the following organisations:
Business Europe, CEPI, Eurelectric, Eurofer, Eurometaux, Cefic,
FuelsEurope and OIGP, with regard to the COP 21 to the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 11th session of the Meeting
of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 11), held in Paris in 2015.
Please be informed that your application is currently being handled.
However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your
application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires today,
2^nd March 2016. Indeed, an extended time limit is needed as most of the
identified documents originate from third parties which need to be
consulted prior to their disclosure. Therefore, we have to extend the time
limit with 15 working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The new time limit
expires on 23^rd March 2016. We apologize for any inconvenience this may
cause.
However, we are already in a position to provide you with some of the
documents we identified as relevant to your request. Please therefore find
attached a list of the identified documents to which you can already been
granted access to as well as the documents at stake.
