Correspondence on animal welfare
Dear Secretariat-General of the European Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
-all correspondence (i.e. any emails, correspondence, telephone call notes, and/or text messages including WhatsApp exchanges) from deputy director general for food sustainability Bernard Van Goethem relative to the European Citizens Initiative (ECI) “Fur Free Europe” starting from when the initiative was submitted to the Commission (14 June 2023)
-all correspondence (i.e. any emails, correspondence, telephone call notes, and/or text messages including WhatsApp exchanges) between Mr Van Goethem and members of the working party of chief veterinary officers related to the revision of the EU animal welfare legislation.
The documentation should include but not be limited to: general communications of any nature, written material of any kind, email correspondences, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, briefing papers, transcriptions of meetings, readouts of meetings, summaries of meetings, briefings for meetings, etc.

of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001.
