Dear Commissioner Valean, 
 
In my capacity of 
 of FuelsEurope & Concawe, I would like to ask for a meeting with you to 
introduce you to the new 
 
 of FuelsEurope and Concawe, 
, 
 
 
Our members are already major European and international investors in renewable and low carbon 
technologies across all forms of energy, and together as an Association we have strongly supported Europe’s 
climate goals. Our focus in the Association is on the necessary transition for the remaining needs for liquid fuels. 
We have worked tirelessly since the 2015 Paris Agreement to set out a comprehensive road map for our sector 
covering technology, investment and policy aspects. 
  During this introduction, we would like to share brief highlights of the Low Carbon Pathways work of our science 
organisation Concawe on the industrial ecosystem for transition toward renewable fuels, to reach climate 
neutrality by 2050.  
  We would also like to highlight FuelsEurope’s proposed policy strategy to achieve this outcome, addressing 
together the climate, investment and social objectives.  
  We can also overview how we have reflected these points in our recommendations for the Fit for 55 Package.
