Correspondence with petrochemicals and fertilizer industry about hydrogen regulation

The request was partially successful.

Dear DG Energy,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1- All briefings, minutes of meetings, and correspondence (including emails, sms, and what's app messages) since 1st January 2023 up to today between representatives of DG Energy and representatives of ‘Yara International’, or 'BASF', or 'OCI Global', or 'CF Energies Inc', or 'Ammonia Europe', or 'Fertilizers Europe' ; or with PR companies or law firms representing those firms in which the following regulations were discussed : 'Directive (EU) 2024/1788, or Regulation (EU) 2024/1789, or the Delegated Act setting out 'the methodology to determine the GHG emission savings of low-carbon fuels'.

I would like to make clear I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis.
At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.

To the extent possible, I would prefer the documents in electronic format but if that is not possible please use the following postal address:
DeSmog UK
5 Brayford Square
London, E1 0SG

Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
I reserve the right to appeal.

Please confirm having received this application. I look forward to your reply within 15 business days, according to the regulation.

Yours faithfully,

Agathe Bounfour
