Critical Chemicals - lobbying
Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request access to all documents related to lobbying on ‘critical molecules’, a ‘Critical Chemicals Act’, the ‘Critical Chemicals Alliance’, and similar/ related topics since 1 January 2025. In particular I would like to request:
1. A list of all meetings/ discussions between officials and or Commissioners with lobby organisations where these topics were discussed.
2. Any records, minutes, preparatory briefings, or other notes of these meetings/discussions, including correspondence which set-up, or was follow-up to, these meetings. I would also like to receive full notes of any meetings held, and not just the summary notes proactively published by the Commission.
3. All correspondence since the above date, where these topics were raised, as exchanged between officials and or Commissioners with lobby organisations.
4. I would also like to receive all of the above types of documents as they relate to these topics between member state government(s) and the DG or Commissioners.
5. In addition I would like to receive a list of all studies or impact assessments which the DG has contracted out, or undertaken on, these topics.
Please note that I am tabling similar requests to the Secretariat-General, Grow, and Environment. I look forward to receiving the respective documents accordingly.

Thank you for the documents relating to request 2025-3622.
I have a number of queries. As needed, please consider this a confirmatory application, or maybe you can simply supply the missing documents and explanations without needing to resort to that procedure.
On document 3, it is not clear to me who attended the VCI committee meeting to represent the Commission. As this was a large meeting and likely to involved a senior official, it seems fair that this official is named.
On document 5, it is made clear that the official concerned also stayed for a presentation by France Chimie on a paper on "a critical molecules initiative". This seems very relevant to my request and I would like to receive this paper and any other paperwork connected to it.
On document 6, please could you provide some context for this document. It seems that this was a large event so it is not clear why the names of the speakers were redacted. And I would like to receive the presentation that the DG Grow representative made, and any notes or minutes from this event.
Finally on document 12, the redactions are so heavy that it is not even clear which organisations sent and received the email.
