Dear Research Executive Agency,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1. The complete summary dataset on the 10,360 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships proposals received in 2024
https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.e...

2. The complete summary dataset on the 1,696 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships proposals received in 2024 that were selected for funding
https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.e...

In this context, "complete summary dataset" in each case refers to the full original datasets on which the two public announcements linked above were based, including all rows, columns and data fields on a line-by-line (proposal-by-proposal) basis.

For example, the "proposals funded" announcement contains breakdowns by multiple variables including gender, nationality, scientific disciplines, and countries, illustrating the existence of a detailed and granular dataset that presumably contains line-by-line data on each proposal.

There is an overwhelming public interest in the release of these data. For example, without access to line-by-line data, it is impossible to calculate the gender makeup of applicant cohorts from different scientific disciplines.

Redactions should be limited to redacting or removing only columns containing personal information.

Going forward, it would be appreciated (and more efficient) if the press office could proactively provide and link such datasets as downloadable CSV files when publishing these grants announcements online.

Please send the requested data in digital format (i.e. CSV or Excel files) via the AskTheEU platform. FYI my residential address is Am Buechel 53b, 53173 Bonn, Germany

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,

Till Bruckner
