Extension of deadline - EASE 2026/3220
Dear Mr Fanta,
We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
registered on 22/06/2026 under case number EASE 2026/3220.
You requested access to documents explaining the decision concerning
migration of President von der Leyen’s social media account to the new
social media network ‘W Social’.
We are currently working on your request. However, we will not be able to
complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15
working days, which expires on 13/07/2026.
Your application concerns many documents potentially falling within the
scope of your request, which need to be properly identified and
individually assessed. In addition, the preparation of our reply to your
request may require consultation of the third party concerned and other
Commission services.
Therefore, in line with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, we
need to extend this time limit by an additional 15 working days. The new
time limit expires on 04/08/2026.
We apologise for any inconvenience this delay may cause.
Yours sincerely,
