Deportation statistics for the first half of 2023
Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- Statistics regarding the number of deportations of non-EU citizens which were either facilitated or assisted by Frontex in the period between 01/2023 - 06/2023.
- Statistics that specifically mention which countries were the destinations of the deportations in the requested period (1-6/2023) as well as the data on the nationalities of the deportees.
- Any SIRs (Special Incident Reports) that were filed regarding incidents during the deportations of non-EU citizens facilitated or assisted by Frontex in the period between 01/2023 - 06/2023

Dear Jakub,
This is a reply to your request for information falling under
PAD-2023-00223:
In the period 1 Jan–30 June 2023, Frontex supported the return of 17,885
third country nationals on both charter flights and scheduled flights. 52%
of third country nationals returned in the above-mentioned period returned
on a voluntary basis.
Below we provide the list of all destinations of returns in the
above-mentioned period, together with the total number of third country
nationals returned to each destination.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide the data on nationalities of the
returnees, as we do not collect this data for returns by scheduled
flights.
