Documents re: meetings between DG GROW and the industry
Dear Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU Treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I hereby request access to the following:
All documents—including but not limited to correspondence (including email and letters) containing substantive discussion relevant to the meeting topic, attendance lists, agendas, background papers, transcripts, recordings, minutes, notes, and meeting conclusions—relating to the meetings listed below:
1. Meeting between European Association Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and Thierry Breton, Commissioner and Lucia Caudet, Cabinet member of Thierry Breton on 13/05/2020 to discuss the automotive industry;
2. Meeting between European Association Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and Timo Pesonen, Director-General of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs on 02/12/2019 to introduce themselves and present their priorities;
3. Meeting between Association des Constructeurs Européens d'Automobiles (ACEA) and Thierry Breton, Commissioner and Lucia Caudet, Cabinet member of Thierry Breton on 13/05/2020 to discuss the automotive industry;
4. Meeting between Association des Constructeurs Européens d'Automobiles (ACEA) and Timo Pesonen, Director-General of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs on 14/06/2019 to discuss common priorities for the future of automotive industries and the EU Commission;
5. Meeting between Ford Motor Company (FMC) and Lucia Caudet, Cabinet member of Thierry Breton on 12/01/202 to discuss the current state of the automotive industry and EU Commission’s ongoing initiatives in the sector;
6. Meeting between European Association Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and Kerstin Jorna, Director-General on 30/06/2020 on the subject on an introduction to automotive suppliers industry, political priorities;
7. Meeting between European Association Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and Thierry Breton, Commissioner and Lucia Caudet, Cabinet member of Thierry Breton on 13/05/2020 to discuss the automotive industry; and
8. Meeting between FoodDrinkEurope (FoodDrinkEurope) and Timo Pesonen, Director-General of Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs on 12/06/2019 to discuss priorities and ideas for the next five years of the Commission work in the food and drink sector.
I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis. At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
I understand that this request may relate to a large number of documents and would therefore be open to discuss prioritisation if needed.
I would prefer for this information to be sent to me in machine-readable electronic format, to the email address provided below. Documents that cannot be sent in electronic format can be sent to Earthsight, The Green House Ethical Properties, 244-254 Cambridge Heath Road, E29DA, London, England.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also, I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
