Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

For the period between 1 January 2019 to date:

- a list of all meetings held with the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), the Inter-Organisational Communications Committee (IOCC), and other institutions regarding EU Voice, EU Video and open source social media (Mastodon, Peertube, or other Fediverse related instances). The list should include: date of the meeting, individuals attending and their organisational affiliation, as well as the issues discussed; these shall include all the details related to the transition towards the new Mastodon CURIA instance.

- all minutes and other reports of these meetings;

- all documents prepared for the purpose of these meetings and/or exchanged during the course of these meetings, such as all reports, summaries, minutes, notes, or record-keeping

- all reports, summaries, minutes, notes, or record-keeping and documents of any kind produced by your institution of internal meetings relating to EU Voice, EU Video and open source social media (Mastodon, Peertube, or other Fediverse related instances), including date of the meeting, individuals attending and their organisational affiliation, as well as the issues discussed;

- any social media strategy documents and budget allocations related to EU Voice, EU Video and open source social media (Mastodon, Peertube, or other Fediverse related instances).

- and complaints made regarding EU Video or EU Voice, as well as decisions and outcome documents related to those complains

Dear Mr. Mechels,

 

In connection with your application for access to documents number
0017/2024D, I inform you that, pursuant to Article 5(4) of the DECISION OF
THE COURT OF JUSTICE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION of 26 November 2019 concerning
public access to documents held by the Court of Justice of the European
Union in the exercise of its administrative functions (2020/C 45/02), the
period provided for in paragraph 2 of that article is extended by one
month.

 

Your application relates to a large number of documents of various types
and formats, which come from several sources. Consequently, processing it
involves identifying the documents, searching for them in several
departments and institutions and finally examining, document by document,
the possible applicability of an exception to their disclosure, if

Regarding  the  documents  that  originate  from  the  European  Data 
Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and from the Inter-institutional online
communication committee (IOCC)  -  in  accordance with  Art.  4(4) of
Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 and Art. 9 of the Decision of the Court of
Justice of the European Union of 26 November 2019, the EDPS and IOCC have
been consulted to acquire their consent for granting access to them.

 

Please note that parts of the documents have  been redacted either as ‘out
of scope’ as they did not fall under the scope of your request,  or to
protect personal data, which may not be disclosed pursuant to Article
3(1)(b) of the Decision and the Regulation (EU) 2018/1725.

 

Concerning the points 4, 5, and 6 of your request,  please note that the
Court has not identified a) any minutes, reports, or other documents of
internal meetings related to EU Voice, EU Video and open source social
media;  b) a social media strategy document and budget allocations related
to EU Voice, EU Video and open source social media; c) any complaints
regarding the EU Video or EU Voice.

 

We are also sending you the extract of the 2023 Activity Report of the
Court’s Communications Department, where there is information on the use
of social media by the Court.  

 

Finally, please kindly note :

-          that the Court’s « [1]Panorama de l'année 2023 » (Rapport
Annuel 2023, p. 89) and the « Management Report » (Rapport Annuel –
Rapport de Gestion 2023, p. 18-19) contain information on the Court's use

raised in the [3]European Parliement’s Résolution (UE) 2021 de décharge de

In accordance with Article 6 (1) of the DECISION OF THE COURT OF JUSTICE
OF THE EUROPEAN UNION of 26 November 2019 concerning public access to
documents held by the Court of Justice of the European Union in the
exercise of its administrative functions (2020/C 45/02), you may submit a
confirmatory application request confirming about this decision using the
same form as that of your initial request within one month from the
receipt of this decision, as established in paragraph 3 of the same
