Dear Mr Martuscelli Carlo,
Following your request concerning trips of a Member of the European
Parliament in a certain period, we would like to inform you Parliament
does not systematically record all trips made by its Members as elected
representatives with a free mandate. Please note that therefore Parliament
does not hold any complete overview of Members’ travels.
Specifically, Parliament draws your attention to the fact that MEPs are
largely responsible for their own schedule, meaning only some of their
political activities involving travel are recorded, as is the case with
their attendance in plenary sessions, in the [1]plenary minutes or
Members’ declaration of attendance at events on their [2]Parliament
Website under the declarations tab, pursuant to Article 6(3) of the
[3]Code of Conduct. [4]Here you can find information about the kinds of
trips Members can be reimbursed.
On this basis, Parliament considers your request handled and the file
closed. Please do not hesitate to submit a new request should you identify
specific Parliament documents to which you would like to request public
access to.
Kind regards,
