Documents relating to meetings with MOL Group in 2025
Dear Competition,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I write to request information around meetings held between members of the Commission and Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Group (also known as MOL Plc.).
In particular, I would be grateful to receive all correspondence (including SMS & any other type of messages processed through phone apps, e.g. WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram etc; recorded voice messages; emails, letters and attached documents), meeting notes, minutes, and agendas relating to the following meetings:
– March 27th, 2025, meeting in Brussels between representatives of MOL Group and Cabinet of Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis on the subject of competitiveness
– April 15th, 2025, meeting in Brussels between representatives of MOL Group and Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera Rodríguez on the subject of energy and energy-intensive industries in Europe, competition policy (i.e. Mergers).
I would like to receive this information electronically. I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis. At no point should the Commission’s search for—or deliberations concerning—certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and elected to produce.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. I would also expect the partial release of documents in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6. I reserve the right to appeal.
