EMIS transcripts

Peter made this access to documents request to European Parliament Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Madam, Sir,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

In the 8th parliamentary term, there was an inquiry committee called EMIS. The webpage of the European Parliament used to contain transcripts of all the testimonies and hearings that took place. However, these are no longer available.

Please make those document available, either by reinstating the EMIS page, or by uploading them to the public register with a clear mark to facilitate finding them.

Sincerely
Peter Teffer

Dear Madam, Sir,

As I already said, the transcripts of the hearings are not available. When you go to https://www.europarl.europa.eu/committee... and you click on "meeting documents" for any hearing (for example https://emeeting.europarl.europa.eu/comm...) you will find that there is no page loading.

AccesDocs, European Parliament

Dear Mr Teffer,

They seem to be available, e.g. this meeting of 24 January 2017 - hearing of AUDI AG: https://multimedia.europarl.europa.eu/en... - if you scroll down, there is EMIS meeting recording available from 15:05 until 16:33 - https://multimedia.europarl.europa.eu/en...
12 January 2017: https://multimedia.europarl.europa.eu/en...
Or the hearing of 1 December 2016: https://multimedia.europarl.europa.eu/en...

The main thing to point out here, that if the links to webstreaming below hearings are redirected to the 'Streaming agenda' and do not appear with the concrete date of the hearing only with the date of today - there is a calendar where the actual date of hearing needs to be chosen for it to appear. Then one gets all the meeting/hearings that have taken place on that chosen date, so the EMIS is to be searched amongst - the video then appear upon clicking.
We hope this is helpful.

Dear Madam, Sir,

Thank you for your reply. However, I did not ask for the video recordings, but for the (written) transcripts.

Dear Mr Teffer,

Thank you for getting back to us.
Indeed, we've now realised that there is a problem with the link to the 'Meeting documents', where these transcripts should be as well, and we are taking care of restoring them as soon as possible.
We will let you know when they would be available again and apologize for any inconvenience.

With kind regards,

Dear Mr Teffer,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Unfortunately, the site of the archives of EMIS is still down for the meeting documents, therefore we provide you herewith with these transcripts (CRE-French abbreviation of the verbatim reports) as attached.
We would also like to make you aware of our Historical Archives, where you may request documents as well, mostly concerning those of previous legislatures: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/about-par...
