Dear Mr Weiser,

On 10 October 2016 the European Parliament received your request introduced under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 (OJ L 145, 31.5.2001, p. 43: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/PD... ).

In this respect we would like to recall its Article 2(3) : "This Regulation shall apply to all documents held by an institution, that is to say, documents drawn up or received by it and in its possession, in all areas of activity of the European Union.", as well as Article 3(a): " (a) ‘document’ shall mean any content whatever its medium (written on paper or stored in electronic form or as a sound, visual or audiovisual recording) concerning a matter relating to the policies, activities and decisions falling within the institution's sphere of responsibility;"
On the basis of the above, it is considered that your request does not fall within the scope of the Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001. Parliament does not hold documents containing this information. As result, the file will be closed.

We take the opportunity to remind you that Parliament's Public Register of Documents allows for direct access to documents drafted by the European Parliament in the context of its legislative work: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegistreWe... .
It allows for easy search using key words or/and specific reference, which can be combined for a targeted search. Other way is to expand categories of documents under tab "document type". Finally, results of research may be narrowed down by using the filters displayed to the left of the result panel.

Should you identify specific document(s) of the European Parliament you would like obtain access to, do not hesitate to submit a new request.

Kind regards,
