Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am kindly requesting documents which contain the following information:

- All documents (including internal notes, meeting minutes, correspondence, decisions or nominations) related to the appointment of the Parliament’s representative and alternate representative to the Ethics Body established by the Agreement;

- Any preparatory documents, briefings, or internal assessments regarding the operationalisation of the Ethics Body by the Parliament;

- All documents relating to the Parliament’s participation in the selection or appointment of the five independent experts referred to in Article 5 of the Agreement;

- Any relevant communications related to the implementation of the ethics body, the nomination of the representatives, alternates and independent experts, between the European Parliament and the other parties of the agreement;

- Any correspondence with other institutions or bodies concerning the first meeting or the application of the Agreement, including scheduling, coordination, or delays;

- The European Parliament's legal service opinion regarding the obstacles to the ethics body operationalisation, more specifically on the need for the rules of procedure of the EP to be modified before, rather than after, the implementation of the ethics body and its first meeting;

- The Parliament’s self-assessment of its internal rules in light of the common minimum standards, as referred to in Article 10 of the Agreement, if available;

Dear Mr Comte,

The time limit for responding to your application for public access to
documents under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, as registered on May 26,
2025, expires today, on Jun 19, 2025.

However, as our consultations are taking more time than expected,
Parliament must exceptionally extend the time limit provided by Article
7(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 by a further 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of that Regulation in order to reply to your
application.
