eu-LISA monthly N.SIS/N.Eurodac availability, error rate, and latency logs

Tao Zou made this access to documents request to European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

aggregated and anonymised monthly statistical data regarding the technical performance, usage, and Service Level Agreement compliance of the Member States' National Interfaces connecting to the central EU IT systems (specifically: SIS II / Recast, Eurodac, and VIS).

To support my academic research, I kindly request this data broken down by Member State and by month, covering the period from 1 January 2018 to the most recent available date. Specifically, I am looking for documents or database extracts containing the following metrics:

1. System Availability & Downtime: The monthly uptime percentage (%) and the total duration of unplanned downtime/outages attributable to each Member State's National Interface.

2. Latency & Technical Errors: The monthly average or median system response time (latency) for queries and data uploads, alongside the volume or percentage of dropped connections, timeouts, or technical transaction errors.

3. Data Quality & Biometric Rejection Rates: The monthly volume or percentage of data insertions (e.g., fingerprint enrollments) rejected by the Central System due to poor data quality, formatting errors, or Failure to Enroll (FTE).

4. Transaction Volumes: The total number of searches/queries performed and new records created/uploaded per month by each Member State (to serve as statistical denominators).

Yours faithfully,
Tao Zou
