Your application for access to documents – ATD 2024/5318
Dear Mr. Hurtado Coronado,
We refer to your request for access to documents, registered on 8 October 2024 under
reference number 2024/5318.
You requested access to information contained in all the written and verbal
correspondence, documents, drafts, informal and notes produced and/or exchanged
between any of the DG Ener's officials and any of the members of the EU Delegation in
Baku, with particular interest in the signature in July 2022 of a Memorandum of
Understanding between Azerbaijan and the EU. Your request covers documents held from
1 February 2022 up to 8 October 2024.
On 18 November, you further clarified that you were more specifically looking for all the
documentation that mentions "memorandum" and/or "gas" and/or "COP".
Following a thorough search, we have not identified any documents concerning your
application. In effect, the signature event took place more than 24 months ago and internal
communication messages are normally kept for a period of 6 months only.
In accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, you are entitled to make
a confirmatory application requesting the Commission to review this position.
Such a confirmatory application should be addressed to the Secretariat-General of the
