Dear Mr Hasday,
This concerns your request for public access to documents related to
exchanges between the European Parliament and the interest representative
group Europolitis.
Please note that Parliament does not hold any documents related to
meetings between Members and third parties, if the meeting was not part of
a parliamentary activity (e.g. in the context of a committee meeting) and
was therefore held without the involvement of Parliament’s administration.
Indeed, Parliament’s administration has no access to Members’ private
offices (see also paragraph 2 of [1]Rule 122 of Parliament’s Rules of
Procedure).
Please be aware, also, that no documents related to exchanges between
Parliament’s administration and the interest representative group in
request were identified.
Meetings between Members and interest representatives are published on
Members’ websites. From there by clicking on a particular member, you can
access their website and find list of meetings on the right side of the
page under Home -> Meetings. Such meeting declarations are regulated by
[2]Rule 11 of the Rules of Procedure of the European Parliament. Moreover,
pieces of correspondence as well as attendance lists, agendas, background
papers, transcripts, recordings and minutes from such meetings are usually
held by the Members and, should you wish to have access to them, you may
get in touch with the Member's offices (the relevant contact information
is provided in Parliament’s website).
For information about interest representatives and their activities you
can consult the [3]Transparency Register. Europolitis’s registration file
is available at the [4]link.
On this basis, Parliament considers your application handled and the
procedure closed. Should you wish to submit any new requests for specific
Parliament documents, [5]please do not hesitate to come back to us.
Best regards,
