Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

According to the Commission press release below, the European Commission prepared a proposal on 27 July 2016 to fine Spain in Portugal, because neither Spain nor Portugal had taken effective action to correct their excessive deficits. Please send me the proposals for Spain and Portugal and also the corresponding reasoned requests by the two countries (as mentioned in the press release). Dear Mr Neujeffski,

We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
