Dear Mr Sabido,
We refer to your request for access to European Commission documents registered on 16
May 2024 under the above-mentioned reference number.
In your original application, you requested access to:
“- Evidence of all correspondence (including phone calls, conference calls, video
conferences, minutes of meetings etc) held between your DG and representatives of the
Azerbaijan government regarding COP29 since 1 January 2023.
- Evidence of all correspondence (including phone calls, conference calls, video
conferences, minutes of meetings etc) held between your DG and representatives of
SOCAR regarding COP29 since 1 January 2023.”
We regret to inform you that DG CLIMA does not hold any documents that would correspond
to the description given in your application.
As specified in Article 2(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, the right of access as
defined in that regulation applies only to existing documents in the possession of the
institution. Given that no such documents, corresponding to the description given in your
application, are held by the DG CLIMA, I am not in a position to fulfil your request.
Please note that, as the same request has been also submitted to the Secretariat-General (1),
and the Directorate-General for Energy (2) the present reply relates only to the documents
