Housing units owned by asset management companies

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, European Central Bank should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear European Central Bank,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Information on the European real estate portfolio: Number of finished (new constructed) but non used building units with housing function that are owned by financial institutions (specifically state-owned asset management companies).

Yours faithfully,

Paula Caballero

European Central Bank

Dear Ms Caballero,

The ECB hereby confirms receipt, on 26 March 2014, of your application for
access to documents as outlined in your e-mail below.

Please note that access to ECB documents is governed by Decision
ECB/2004/3 (the unofficial consolidated version of this Decision is
available on the<[1]ECB website>).
Under Article 6(1) of this Decision a request must be sufficiently precise
as to enable the ECB to identify the requested documents. As your request
covers an unspecified period of time we ask that you provide a more
precise indication of the time frame that is of interest to you.

Moreover, we would also like to draw your attention to the ECB’s reply of
21 March 2014 to your follow-up request of 28 February 2014 (please see
e-mail attached). As we are not certain whether you had seen this
response, we ask you to let us know whether you would like to modify your
request further in the light of the information that was already provided
to you.

Upon receipt of your reply, the ECB will assess your request on the basis
of Decision ECB/2004/3.
Yours faithfully,
DG-Secretariat
