How works the INTCEN
Kolja

EEAS ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS
[EEAS request email]
SG.LD.ATD
Dear Mr Hüttenrauch,
You have submitted a request through the EEAS access to documents portal
and referred expressly to the Regulation 1049/2001 the objective of which
is to facilitate the access of the public to documents held by EU
institutions. It is clear from your questions that you are looking for
information and not for specific documents which would be held by the
EEAS.
However, we take note that by your request you are actually asking for
information and are therefore replying to your questions in the context of
the public information service provided by the EEAS to EU citizens.
In response to your questions we would like to inform you that EU INTCEN's
analytical products are based on information such as provided by Member
States’ security and intelligence services, open sources (media, websites,
blogs etc.), and other sources.
As regards the composition of staff, EU INTCEN staff consists of
officials, temporary agents and a number of national experts from the
security and intelligence services of the EU Member States that are
seconded to EU INTCEN.
For further information we invite you to read the attached Fact Sheets
that have been made publicly available.
We regret not to be able to provide any additional information related to
INTCEN since its activities are confidential and therefore cannot be made
public.
Should you wish to request access to specific documents, you may want to
reformulate your request with a clear identification of the documents to
which you would like to be granted access.
Kind regards,
EEAS Info Public
