Information on Importer/Exporters related to a RASFF product notification

European Food Safety Authority has replied saying you have to contact another public body.

Gabriele Di Donfrancesco

Dear European Food Safety Authority,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

in date 20-09-2024 16:15:16, with reference 2024.7034, an import of "meat and meat products (other than poultry)" from Brazil consisting in beef was stopped from entering Denmark for potentially serious levels of Escherichia coli shigatoxin-producing, as per data on the RASFF platform.

I kindly request the name of the exporter and importer involved in that trade of that specific product stopped at the border.

Yours faithfully,

Gabriele Di Donfrancesco

Dear Gabriele Di Donfrancesco,

Thank you for reaching out to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

EFSA is an agency of the European Union (EU) that provides independent
scientific advice on risks linked to food and feed safety, which informs
the decisions taken by risk managers at EU and Member State levels (i.e.
the European Commission, European Parliament and Member States).

The Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) is a crucial tool that
helps in the swift exchange of information regarding food safety issues
among EU countries. It is important to note that EFSA does not manage
RASFF notifications. The responsibility for managing these notifications
lies with the European Commission and the national authorities of the
Member States.

For specific information or actions related to a particular RASFF
notification, we recommend that you contact the [1]European Commission or
the [2]competent authorities in your Member State. They are best
positioned to provide detailed insights and actions taken in response to
the notification.

Should you have any inquiry about EFSA's work, please do not hesitate to
contact us again via the [3]Ask a Question tool.

We kindly invite you to complete a short survey at [4]this link, to help
us learn about your degree of satisfaction thus improving the quality of
our service.
