Dear Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (EMPL),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (EMPL)'s handling of my FOI request 'Irish citizens claiming unemployment benefits in EU states'.

The EU Commission has informed me that my request, "does not concern specific documents
produced by the Commission, but simply constitutes a request for statistical data".
I believe that information pertaining to employment and unemployment rates in EU countries is information the Commission should have access to and I would ask that they revisit this request.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: http://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/irish...

Yours faithfully,

Ailbhe Jordan
