Legal concerns over third COVID-19 vaccine contract signed with Pfizer

We're waiting for Christina GENNET to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Legal Service,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

I’d like all documents produced by the Directorate General of Legal Services in relation to the pre-negotiation, negotiations, and follow up on the third advance purchase agreement for COVID-19 vaccines signed with Pfizer.

On May 20, 2021, the European Commission announced that: the European Commission signed a third contract with the pharmaceutical companies BioNTech and Pfizer for up to 1.8 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccine on behalf of all EU Member States, between end 2021 to 2023.

I'd like all emails, memos, reports, and communication, including and not limited to text messages, to and from the Directorate General of Legal Services relating to possible legal concerns in connection to this contract. This includes documents produced in the run-up to the signing of the contract, as well as any created afterwards.

Yours faithfully,

Carlo Martuscelli
