Legal opinion on 'share destruction' within Money Market Fund Regulation 2017/1131
Dear Legal Service,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The basis of the legal opinion on which the conclusion in the letter from Olivier Guersent to Mr Maijoor dated 19th January in relation to 'share destruction' was reached. While I appreciate the legal services team may not usually share their full legal analysis, the letter draws conclusions without any context for the basis of the decision and I request the details on which the conclusion was reached.
