Letter from German Minister of the Interior to Dimitris Avramopoulos
Dear Migration and Home Affairs,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
According to numerous reports (such as https://www.dw.com/de/merkel-und-seehofe...), the German Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community (hereinafter: Horst Seebrücke) did write a letter to Mr. Avramopoulos on or around June 27 concerning the security cooperation with the United Kingdom after Brexit day.
In a letter by the German PermRep, this Horst Seebrücke letter was characterized as a letter not representing the German Government's position and that the letter was not coordinated within the German Government.
I am requesting both letters as well as all documents within the Commission in relationship with this letter, including internal communication, memos, drafts, notes and protocols.
Yours faithfully,
Mathias Schindler
