Libyan coast guard vetting for EU training
Dear European External Action Service,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The EU has trained 237 Libyan coast guard personnel as of 17 September 2018. These trainees, selected by the competent Libyan authorities, are first vetted before being allowed into the EU training programme.
How many Libyan coast guard trainees, selected by the competent Libyan authorities, were denied EU training because they failed to pass the EU vetting process?
Yours faithfully,
Nikolaj Nielsen
