Lobby contacts delegated act on low carbon fuels

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Energy should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Energy,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request access to the following documents related to lobbying on the Commission's draft delegated act on low carbon fuels (including low carbon hydrogen). In particular I would like:

1. A list of all meetings/ discussions since 1 January 2024 between officials and or Commissioners with businesses, trade associations, or think tanks where this topic was discussed.

2. Any records, minutes, preparatory briefings, or other notes of these meetings/discussions.

3. All correspondence since 1 January 2024, where this topic was discussed, exchanged between officials and or Commissioners with businesses, trade associations, or think tanks.

Please note that I am aware of the consultation that took place on the issue and the contributions that have been received (https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-reg...).

To the extent possible, my strong preference is to receive documents in electronic format.

I would also be grateful to receive the documents in batches, as soon as they are identified and available to send.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt

Hello,

many thanks for the documents, the receipt of which I herewith acknowledge.

I have a question of clarification: As far as I know there were 2 stakeholder meetings on the delegated act with DG Energy officials for the members of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance (on 9 and 17 October 2024). I am surprised that these meetings and minutes, which I am sure have been taken by DG Ener to collect and share feedback and questions from industry, are not included in your response. Could you please double-check if there are any documents relating to these stakeholder meetings (in addition to the presentation by DG Ener, which I am already aware of)? Many thanks!

Kind regards,

Pia Eberhardt
