Lobby contacts on hydrogen/ South Africa
Dear Energy,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. A list of all meetings/ discussions since 1 September 2023 between officials and or Commissioners with businesses, trade associations, think tanks, or consultancies where the issue of hydrogen (and derivatives and infrastructure) in and from South Africa was discussed.
2. Any records, minutes or notes of these meetings/discussions.
3. All correspondence since 1 September 2023, where the issue of hydrogen (and derivatives and infrastructure) in and from South Africa was discussed, exchanged between officials and or Commissioners with businesses, trade associations, think tanks, or consultancies.
To the extent possible, my strong preference is to receive documents in electronic format.
I would also be grateful to receive the documents in batches, as soon as they are identified and available to send.
Please note that I am tabling this request separately to DG INTPA, DG CLIMA, the EEAS and the Secretary General. I look forward to receiving the respective documents accordingly.
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Pia Eberhardt

ENER ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS
Dear Energy,
I herewith confirm that I have received the requested documents. Thank you very much!
After having gone through the files I have the impression that one document might be missing, which was likely covered by the request, namely: the response to document 10 (Email from ENERTRAG to Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Simson dated 27/11/2023 as follow-up to her visit on 24/11/2024). Of course, I do not know whether the Commission has responded to the email, but I would assume so. In this case I also assume that the response would be covered by the request.
Could I please ask you to check if such a response/ document exists and if it can be released as a part of my request?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Friendly greetings,
Pia Eberhardt
