Dear DG Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union,

in her June 28th 2022 keynote speech at the forum on protecting and facilitating investment in the single market, Commissioner McGuinness stated that the Commission wants to “support the enforcement of EU rules” to ensure “effective protection of investments”.

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1) minutes and other notes from lobby meetings (including online meetings) held by DG FISMA since March 1st 2023, in which options for investment protection were discussed;

2) all correspondence between DG FISMA and companies or lobby groups, in which options for investment protection were discussed (since March 1st 2023);

We are writing concerning your request for access to Commission documents
