Malicious spyware
Dear Human Resources and Security,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- Information on any spyware detected on devices of any Commission staffers or members of the college and their cabinets, and who those individuals are. If spyware has been found, we would like to know what the procedure is to clean the infected device.
- What safeguards the Commission has in place to ensure that devices used by staffers and members of the college and cabinets are protected from spyware.
- Any documentation about spyware or potentially malicious computer programs or software detected on devices used by Commission officials and Commissioners.
- Any other details on examples of spyware detected on devices used by officials in the European Commission.
